The Chrysalis Chamber Players made their debut in Naples, Florida, in 2011. Since then, they have performed a variety of acclaimed performances featuring well known classics such as Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, lesser known works with unique instrumentation, and contemporary works by living composers. At the core of Chrysalis is Miami-based flutist Meghan Brachle, trumpeter Mary Bowden, an international soloist and founder of Seraph Brass, and highly sought-after piano soloist and founder of Duo Beaux Arts, Catherine Lan. Performances have included collaborations with guest artists from Artis Naples, Sarasota Orchestra, Southwest Florida Symphony, The Florida Orchestra, New World Symphony, Manhattan Piano Trio, and Nu Deco Ensemble, among others.
Musicians of the Chrysalis Chamber Players have performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, Banff Centre for the Arts, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Verbier and Lucerne Festivals in Switzerland, and with the Louisville, Naples, Vancouver, Edmonton, New World and Richmond Symphonies, among others. Chrysalis is the recipient of a Yale Alumni Ventures Grant, enabling the group to reach out to students through residencies in south Florida schools.
